Located in Burnaby, BC in our purpose-built modern facility, we continue to solve problems and provide premium products to our customers all over the world with our global reach for sales, service and repair of power distribution, medium and high voltage motors, and generators.
We are currently looking for a Shipper/Receiver to join our team.
The Shipper/Receiver is an integral part of the team, assisting the tradespeople and preparing orders for customers.
What you will be doing:
The main responsibilities of this position include:
- Organize the warehouse
- Write up incoming jobs
- Prepare outgoing shipments for transportation
- Making arrangements with transportation companies for deliveries
- Assist Tradespersons, as required
- Operate a forklift in the shop
- Perform rigging for loading / unloading heavy equipment
- Operate overhead cranes (Up to 40 Tons)
- Drive company vehicle to deliver orders to customer, as required
- Put away electric motors
- Perform outgoing quality checks on repaired equipment
- Maintain Daily shipping log
- General housekeeping of the service shop and the warehouse

What we need from you:
- Experience in a similar role
- Forklift Licence
- A thorough understanding of shipping terms
- A valid driver’s license
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lb
- Flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
- Accountability and strong attention to detail
- Self-starter, with developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills
- Safety training, an asset
Work Conditions:
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Overtime hours, as required.
- Hazards associated with the trade.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time.
